Mother’s Day is everyday
But today we stop and think
How you gave us more than
A life giving nutritious drink
More than warm arms and shelter
More than baths and clean clothes
More than all our selfish outbursts
More than wiping our tears and nose
More than band-aids and kisses
More than loving us ‘till it hurts
More than reading bed time stories
More than good food and desserts
More than nursing us back to health
More than praying for us as we slept
More than guidance and patience
Shedding more tears than Jesus wept
Mother’s Day is everyday
And today we pause to say
Thank you Mom for giving us a chance
To laugh, sing, dance, and play
We get to show our families love
Our friends and, enemies too
Now to live life is to love life
For this we LOVE and THANK YOU!
